"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging" (Ps 46, 1-3).
We are in safe hands! It always amazes me how we trust so many people .. a doctor, a lawyer, even a bus driver ... and yet we become so restless when it comes to God. I remember one day when we went on this trip and the road was bumpy and jerky, with violent turns and sudden stops... but we were all calm. We knew the driver was an excellent, experienced veteran. Why do we react so weirdly when the drive on earth is so rugged and rough? Do we doubt the Driver so much?
Or... perhaps, the problem is that WE are driving and we are afraid to pass on the steering wheel to someone else.
