Christ has won the victory and our task is to ask for it to be applied in our lives.
Sin divided creation: Adam blamed Eve; Eve blamed the serpent. Deep down in each of us, there exists a drive to preserve self. We even seek, maybe, God for ourselves. We would like to be thought holy because we misunderstand and think holiness is our achievement, and we want to be admired for reaching such heights. But holiness is not reaching heights, it is accepting our poverty.
