It is true that evil exists. It is true that evil apparently is becoming always more arrogant, aggressive and triumphant. All of us suffer the temptation of thinking that in life it is better not to mind anything except our own interests. It is not the first time that we tried to do someone a good turn and have been repaid with evil.
But evil never has the last word. Jesus Christ has come and fought a harsh battle against evil. And evil battered Him. It even killed Him. Apparently, everything was annihilated. Once again evil seemingly had the last laugh !
But three days later, a man came out of the grave. Victorious. Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Triumphant over all that shackles man and prevents him from being free. Even death has been conquered !
And from that day onwards, whosoever unites himself to Christ receives a guarantee that there is nothing that can overcome him.
God is a Feast
