The people of Israel in their march through the desert (an image and a rehearsal of our own march through life) were fed by the Lord with the daily blessing of the timely manna. The peculiarity about this providential food was that one could not hoard it. You could only take what you could eat for one day (except over weekends). If you tried to hoard any extra, it would go bad by the following day.
Take only what you need today. Eat it happily and tomorrow will bring its own food. Each day for itself. Take your "manna" and keep walking, and tomorrow will bring its own share in the unfailing providence of the Lord.
