“Vince, Vince, wake up its 7:30 and you’ll be late for work”.
It was my wife shaking me to wake up. I sat on the bed looking straight into the mirror in front of me still puzzled to what was going on and suddenly I realized that it was only a dream that I had just had. “What’s the matter? You look peculiar!” she exclaimed. She couldn’t’ stop laughing afterwards, as I described the dream I had while I prepared for work. I kept thinking about that dream and the consequences when safety is ignored whilst I drove to work that morning, but it was only a dream. During that day I had a phone call from one of the local companies that I work with as a diver. They told me that they needed me to go over to their office to talk to me about a diving job, so an appointment was made. After work I passed at the office to meet Mr. Abela, the director, who explained about the diving job. Flashbacks of that morning’s dream came rushing into my mind as he said,
“We have a diving job at 45 meters deep, searching for some survey equipment that a survey vessel had lost. Are you available for the job?” |
