Your Home Page as the name suggest is your Internet Home!
We all want to have a decent house to live in, with all commodities; same applies for our web site, consider it as your virtual home.
Your house has a name; same, you must give a title to your Home Page, same applies for all your web pages.
Your house has an address; META TAGS are your Home Page Address. With good META TAGS in place, visitors will be addressed to your web site.
First impressions are that count, so your Home Page should be as welcoming as possible. It must clearly show what your site is all about and should be interesting and inviting to users. The door should be open to all visitors, so don't force users to download any software to visit your web site, or force them to register unless you have a private web site.
