By all means a universal language to write your web site is English. As we all know, English is a language widely spoken all over the world, so by using this language you will cater for a large audience.
If I take my language as an example, which is Maltese, for sure, I will have a limited audience since only few people speak Maltese. In the other hand, if I am marketing some products or services just for my local market, then I could consider using my mother language.
Always do your best to make use of good language and grammar. Try to use Word Processors, which will help you enhance both your grammar and spelling.
Always make sure to spell check your pages before publishing your web site over the Internet.

It is very important to make use of good fonts, font sizes and colour.
Remember users may use different screen resolutions, although 800 x 600 pixels and 1024 x 768 pixels are today's standards.
Do not use very small fonts, as at 1024 x768 pixels or even higher resolutions, some text may be illegible.
Same applies for use of colour! Use your common sense; don't use yellow text on a white background, or dark blue text on a black background, as it will be difficult to read.
